Layered-IHC (L-IHC): A novel and robust approach to multiplexed immunohistochemistry

چکیده

Page 1 © 2010 20/20 GeneSystems, Inc. The need for multiplex detection of tissue biomarkers. There is a constant and growing demand for increased biomarker analysis in human tissue specimens. Analysis of tissue biomarkers is key to understanding the activation status of particular pathways in specific cell types and can be indicative of disease diagnosis, prognosis, prediction of therapeutic efficacy and monitoring of treatment outcomes. This information is of further importance in identifying and validating novel drug targets. While in certain instances detection of single biomarkers is sufficient, it is rapidly becoming clear that both panels of multiple markers and variations in biomarker levels relative to each other is more informative and more diagnostic of cell and disease status.

Diagnostic Value of Calretinin and S100 Immunohistochemistry in Hirschsprung's Disease

Background Rectal biopsy and its histopathological study with hematoxylin and eosin (HE) is the gold standard for Hirschsprung's disease (HD) diagnosis. However, there are some limitations in the diagnosis of ganglion cells in HE approach. Recently, it was reported that the utility of Calretinin is a reliable ancillary immunohistochemistry (IHC) test for HD diagn...

Breast Cancer Diagnosis Using a Microfluidic Multiplexed Immunohistochemistry Platform

BACKGROUND Biomarkers play a key role in risk assessment, assessing treatment response, and detecting recurrence and the investigation of multiple biomarkers may also prove useful in accurate prediction and prognosis of cancers. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) has been a major diagnostic tool to identify therapeutic biomarkers and to subclassify breast cancer patients. However, there is no suitable ...

The Incidence of EBV in Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma: A Comparative Study of Immunohistochemical and PCR Techniques

Background and Objectives: Epstein Barr Virus (EBV) is one of the members of herpesviridae family and a sub-category of Gamma herpes virinae. EBV, which normally has CR2 or CD21 receptors on B-lymphocytes, has mutagenic features for them. The virus plays an important role in causing some malignant cancers. About 30% of the cases with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma are diffuse large B-cell l...

Evaluation of Immunohistochemistry (IHC) in Children with Chronic Constipation

Introduction Constipation is one of the most common causes of referral to pediatric gastroenterology clinics. The histopathology and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) studies indicated that several neurons are currently detectable in motility of the gut. We aimed to evaluate calretinin in the children with chronic constipation. Materials and Methods In this cohort study, 40 children with chronic const...
